What kind of files can I attach to QuickBooks transactions?

You can attach many different files to QuickBooks, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook emails as well as pictures (jpg, gif, tiff) pdf and many more.

How many documents can I store with PaperSavePlus?

Your documents are stored in a Microsoft SQL Express 2005 database. With this version of SQL, you can store about 60,000 scanned pages (Hard-disk usage will vary depending on configuration and type of document or image. Scanning in black and white at 300 dpi will amount to about 60,000 scanned pages saved as PDFs).

With what versions of Quickbooks is PaperSavePlus compatible?


US: Pro and Premier 2006-2010 and Enterprise 6-10

UK: Pro and Premier 2008

Canada: Pro, Premier and Enterprise 2009 and 2010

Australia: Pro, Premier and Enterprise 2009/10 QBi series

PaperSavePlus is not compatible with multi-currency international versions of QuickBooks, but it does work with U.S. versions of QuickBooks with the multi-currency feature turned on.

How many user licenses should I purchase?

The number of licenses that you purchase is the number of workstations that you want to install PaperSavePlus on. If you purchase a 1 user license, it can only be installed on one workstation. You do not need a license to install the PaperSavePlus database on a server, so you could, for example, buy 3 users licenses and install the PaperSavePlus database on a server and the PaperSavePlus software on 3 workstations.

How are my documents secured and where are my documents stored?

PaperSavePlus stores all documents securely on your hard drive on your workstation or network in a Microsoft SQL Express database. By storing documents in a database, you never have to be concerned with changing your file path, unauthorized access to a document or someone inadvertently deleting documents.

Access to documents is limited to those with proper security in QuickBooks. Only users with access to the specific record in QuickBooks can view the related source document in PaperSavePlus. Learn more about how your documents are secured.

Your Quickbooks company file is not altered by PaperSavePlus.

What type of scanner do I need?

Most TWAIN compatible scanners can be used with PaperSave. You can also use Fujitsu ScanSnap scanners. We recommend scanners with ADF (automatic document feeders) and Duplex (scan both sides of the paper at once) capabilities. Click here to see our scanner requirements and recommendations.

How much hard disk space do I need?

You can save an unlimited number of documents for any record. The number of documents is only limited to your available hard disk space.

Does PaperSavePlus work with QuickBooks companies in multi-user mode or in Citrix environment?

Yes, PaperSavePlus can be installed to work with a company in single user or multi-user mode. PaperSavePlus is also compatible with Citrix and Windows Terminal Services.

If you are going to use a scanner remotely, you will need a software like Remote Scan to scan into QuickBooks.

Is the use of PaperSavePlus compliant with the IRS?
